About Me
- Lynn Montgomery
- I am a writer. It is the only real job I ever had, except the stint in Paris as a fashion model, but that was several wrinkles and many lifetimes ago. (My kids swear those pictures are not me!) I would write even if no one paid me, but my husband (artist, Richard Kriegler) is very pleased that from time to time they do. I have won a Los Angeles area Emmy, a Writer’s Guild Award for best Children’s Teleplay, and was nominated for two Cable Ace Awards. I am the creator of the NBC and Disney Channel series, The Torkelsons. I was a staff writer on the New Carol Burnett Show. I adapted Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle for Showtime, starring Jean Stapleton, Shelley Duvall, Christopher Lloyd, Joan Cusack and James Whitmore. I developed projects for Disney Feature Animation, including "The Snow Queen" and "Sinbad." And I worked on numerous other wonderful projects for many of the major studios that will probably never see the light of day. Oh well, there's always books...
